Tanzania - Nature’s gift wrapped with adventure, wildlife, idyllic beaches, historically fascinating ruins, warm people and rich culture. Visiting Africa was on my bucket list. Africa is synonym to flora and fauna. So, my primary goal was to enjoy Tanzania’s wildlife. First up, was a visit to the Selous Game Reserve and Ruaha National Park. I felt nothing less than a kid while taking a boat ride to Rufiji River. No crocodile tears but only happy ones, is what I got, courtesy the presence of crocodiles in Rufiji River, the towering giraffes at the Ruaha National Park and - believe it or not - the Lion King himself, at the Ngorongoro Crater. I was also fortunate enough to get a glimpse of hyenas, running majestically in a pack at the Lake Manyara. My unforgettable safari journey in Tanzania started from Zanzibar, Dar es Salaam, Moshi/Pangani, Arusha, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater to Nairobi. I fell in love with the scenic landscapes of Tanzania - filled with the abundance of life, color, exuberance and light. The coasts of Tanzania aren’t that far from its many renowned game reserves. Therefore, I got an ample chance to enjoy the beaches at the Zanzibar Island. Zanzibar Island is a beautiful cluster of Indian Ocean islands. The island is painted intricately with idyllic beaches, intriguing sites, such as, the Sultans’ Palaces. If you want a larger-than-life experience, then a visit to Zanzibar Island is a must deal! Each stop was a wild gush of visual delight, from the Kilimanjaro Mountain to the Ngorongoro Crater. It was a beautiful setting that took my breath away - literally! It was a bit crowded, but completely worth it. Serengeti was a complete contrast to the rush and gush atmosphere of Ngorongoro Crater. It was a serene safari trip, where I encountered never-before-witnessed species, like, aardwolf, genet and hyrax! If you are planning a trip to Africa, then Tanzania is the Safari Destination for you. Tanzania is synonymous with safari, wildlife and wilderness. But we were completely surprised by the beach ambience of the country. Our wildlife and beach safari in Tanzania took place in July. We geared to enjoy our safari and game drives, expecting to watch wild species right in front our eyes and have a good time. Little did we know that we will be experiencing more than what we thought of or imagined. Let’s get straight to our last few days of our safari tour. It was dedicated solely to Zanzibar Island and its beautiful, serene and lush beaches. Zanzibar is basically a group of islands, comprising mostly the Indian Ocean islands. Together they offer tourists and travellers like us, an idyllic and intriguing beach experiences. So, when we reached the Zanzibar beach, after a breathtaking safari tour in Arusha National Park, Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Tarangire National Park and Lake Manyara National Park, we were taken aback by the sheer sight that was being served right in front us. The Zanzibar Island is a lively city and only a ferry ride from the coast of Tanzania. The island is made of 25 beaches, all housing mangroves, tropical palms and fishing villages. Zanzibar beach is a true definition of heaven on earth. With its white sand and blue water, it creates nothing less than ripples of joy! We spent the entire day sunbathing, snorkelling, scuba diving, wind surfing, deep sea fishing and swimming. Most of the water sports activities were arranged by the resort. So, we didn’t worry about missing out on any kind of fun at the beach! I can go on and on about the beach thrill that we experienced at the Zanzibar Island, but our holiday also covers the majestic safari experiences. Here it goes! Whether at the Arusha National Park, Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area or the Tarangire National Park, each day was divided into many fantastic activities that we participated in every park and wildlife reserves of Tanzania. The most amazing part of our holiday was mountain climbing on the highest summit of Mt Kilimanjaro and hiking to the Ngorongoro Crater. It definitely took our breath away and I mean, quite literally! We had a sensational wildlife and beach safari in Tanzania. For me, it was an absolutely unforgettable experience. I spent 11 days in Tanzania, getting the most of its beaches and game reserves! The Indian Ocean offers Africa a warm, beautiful and blue beach abundance. The mainland’s sandy and coral beaches, along with its islands are white, blue and soft. Along with them, the white sandy beaches are home to some of the most colorful and beautiful marine life! The beaches of Tanzania are absolutely fabulous. We couldn’t afford to miss out on them, along with our safari adventure. The Swahili coastline is an acclaimed entity. The beaches offer clear, calm and blue water that will definitely fill your heart and soul with sheer pleasure and joy, like it did for me and my girlfriend! We had the best time of our lives, snorkelling and diving on the reefs of Mafia, Pemba and Zanzibar. Along with these, we also enjoyed our days game fishing, kite-surfing, kayak sailing and boat sailing! - Less

To sum it all up: it was absolutely incredible! And now in more details, let me tell you what my definition of “absolutely incredible” is. When you get to spend the night in a national park and then the next day have the opportunity to hike through the Mount Meru and see the Kilimanjaro... that’s absolutely incredible! When you get to enter another national park such as Tarangire and get the opportunity to observe the wildlife not only during the day but also at nighttime... that’s absolutely incredible. I could go on and describe all the things that I’ve seen: lions hunting, deer running scared and males fighting for territory. I could describe this to you and it still would not be enough. The adrenaline, the rush, the hunger and the power... they were all in there! And that, my friends, was absolutely incredible! We are talking about 8 days of exploring national parks and seeing all those animals I was so fascinated about at the TV. To top it off, we also got the chance to relax for a few days on the Zanzibar Island. Sun, sun and more sun! Beach, water and sun! That was all I knew for a few days. The best of this trip was the Zanzibar Island. I do love animals and I like to watch them, but I think that the week I spent in the wilderness was a bit too much for me. This is why when I got to the Zanzibar Island, the first thing I did was to throw myself into the water of the ocean and swim until I couldn’t feel my body. You are probably wondering why I’m saying all these. It’s not that I’m being dramatic or anything, but those who know me are aware of the fact that I have a problem with high temperatures. This is why when I jumped into the water I felt so refreshed and energized and I felt like I could stay in there, forever. It sounds silly, I know! So, why did I go on this trip? I was trying to prove myself that I can defeat this issue of mine, I guess. I also love animals, but it seems that spending too much time in their natural habitat damaged my own system. Would I ever repeat this experience? Maybe... life is full of surprises, after all. - Less

I think that the best part of this trip was the night I spent in the mountains. After spending a day hiking through the Mount Meru and seeing the Kilimanjaro so close, there was nothing more interesting than ending the day the same way we spent it: in the mountains. I don’t know how to say this, but I think it was pretty intense. I mean, it was the first time I went hiking. Just to be able to breathe that fresh air and the rest in that untouched quiet that surrounded the place... That was perfect! Actually, it was more than perfect! I feel like I am insisting a bit too much on that hiking trip we took and that I am leaving out the animals. The thing is that I loved seeing those animals and observing their behavior, but what I loved the most was taking a walk through nature. I don’t know why I feel this way since the main reason that dragged me into this trip was the Serengeti National Park. One thing is clear, after this trip, I will definitely get out of the house more often and give all of my upcoming weekends to the mountains! - Less

This was our first family Safari, and what an amazing experience it was! Everything was simple, easy and fast, be it booking our tour via Bookings Tanzania Safaris or getting the most out of the itinerary. Thanks to the manager, Wilbert, everything went very smooth. Our 8-day Big 5 Parks - Safari included visits to Tanzania’s most beautiful parks - starting with Arusha National Park, Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Our tour guide, Michael was a walking Wikipedia. He made sure that we didn’t miss out on anything. We drove first to the Arusha National Park. We entered a dense forest - home to beautiful trogons, turacos and blue monkeys. If you are lucky - which we were - you will get to see the black and white, acrobatic colobus monkey. We hiked towards the rocky and steep cliffs of Ngorongoro Crater, and encountered a herd of warthog. Day 3 of our Safari started in Tarangire National Park. Michael helped us with valuable information about the parks, from their rich flora and fauna, to their immensely breathtaking views. Tarangire National Park, as we were told, is Tanzania North’s most peaceful parks. It is renowned for its birding and elephant migration. If you want to get the true safari experience, then you must visit this untouched national park. On our 4th day, we left for Lake Manyara National Park. It is a true scenic gem. Running on the base of Rift Valley. If you are an adventure sports lover - like me - you will definitely enjoy the visit to Lake Manyara National Park. We spent our 5th and 6th day at the Serengeti National Park - the most popular and oldest parks of Tanzania North. We completed our Big 5 Park Safari at the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. It’s part of UNESCO World Heritage Centre, yet another valuable detail that Michael, our tour guide shared with us! Our Safari experience was one-of-a-kind. The manager - Wilbert - made fantastic arrangements for our accommodation, lunch, dinner, breakfast and activity plan. I will give a big Thumbs Up to this tour package, Wilbert and Michael. I like to think that no one loves nature more than I do! This is the main reason I decide to go on this trip, in the first place. Sure, I love to get to know other cultures as well, but nothing compares with the greatness of Mother Nature. I got on this trip accidentally and even though it was something extremely spontaneous, it turned out to be the best time of my life! Yeah, exactly! I have always wanted to go to Tanzania and now that I have I am completely astonished. I am in awe! The lions, the elephants, every single sunset and sunrise I saw... I just couldn’t bring myself to miss them. I took a few pics, but that kind of wonderfulness cannot be captured even if I were to take thousands and thousands of photos. You need to know that I am a professional photographer, but out there... I decided that I should not focus on my camera. I would just leave it aside for a few minutes and take in all that greatness. My sister was the one who told me about this trip. She has that sense of adventure I totally lack, but we made a deal: I would go with her if she would accompany me to a session of shopping on the next season. She smiled and said that she was expecting something much worse. So, we went there and I could say that this is the trip where I discovered more of myself. It was like in “Eat, pray, love”, only that the action was going on in the wilderness. I didn’t realize it at first, but there was a moment when I became more and more aware of myself. On the second day, we went hiking on the Mount Meru. I must confess that I would never do that by myself – I am always in high heels and wearing my perfect hair. However, somewhere in between all that sweat, tiredness, incredible views and feet that were hurting, I looked down and saw this family of elephants taking care of their babies. It was so heartwarming and I could tell that something was switched on inside of me... or maybe off. Who knows? What I’m trying to say is that taking a trip like this can turn your whole world upside down and make it so much worth living! - Less

I was in the Safari once, but this trip blew my mind completely! I think it was because we got to visit so many national parks, all in almost a week. It was amazing. If someone asked me which one I enjoyed the most, I honestly wouldn’t know which one to choose. Each national park had its own sense of magic and adventure, at the same time. So, whether I am talking about Serengeti, Tarangire, Arusha, Ngorongoro or the Lake Manyara, I believe that they were all wonderful. They were all perceived in a different manner by me. They might seem very much alike, but to me, they were very different. There were different sceneries in each and every one of them and I think that this is why I live with this feeling. I was asked how I would describe this trip using 1 word. I didn’t even sit and thought about my answer. The word just came out of my mouth: SPECTACULAR! It’s not like, every day our family decides to go on a safari. So, when we planned a vacation, we did with great enthusiasm. And it was a Safari vacation to the world renowned national parks of Tanzania. Our itinerary covered a day’s tour to the Big 5 Parks of Tanzania. It started with an ecological tour to Arusha National Park, wildlife escapade to the Tarangire National Park, the beautiful swamps and woodland of Lake Manyara National Park, the magical flora and fauna of Serengeti National Park and finally ending our 8-day safari tour at the picturesque and heritage entity of Ngorongoro Conservation Area! It was a family holiday, so we were expecting activities for suiting each and every one of us. Our expectations were met to the core. We completely enjoyed everything, from sightseeing the museums and villages of Tanzania, riding a hot air balloon, hiking to Mt Kilimanjaro and staying at our forest lodge, experiencing star-filled nights. I only have one word for our entire Safari holiday - Magical! We loved all the 5 national parks, but Serengeti stood out from amongst the rest. It is an expansive treeless plain, housed with animals grazing its grasslands. It is Tanzania’s largest park and most popular for its wildlife. Thank God, we went there in May, if not, we would not have been able to witness the magnificent migration of wildebeest and zebra! Another place that enthralled our sight, was Mt. Kilimanjaro. We were lucky to hike up to its snowcapped mountain peak. Mt Kilimanjaro rises to alpine meadow and rainforest from a farmland. It is home to leopards, buffaloes, eland, elephants and monkeys. And we got to catch up with few of the notorious and mischievous monkeys! - Less

I just returned from an 8-day safari in Tanzania, with my mom. It was one of the best experience of my life, and mom seconds that thought! Tanzania is an exciting place to be, if you love the nature and its wilderness. The country offers the best safaris in the whole of Africa. During our stay, we not only got to encounter animals that we only saw in books, magazines and television and read about, but also get involved with the rich culture and heritage of the natives and the place through Tanzania’s many villages and museums. Arusha National Park was amongst the most fascinating of all parks in Tanzania. It was set in a snuggly geographical contours, in the foothills of Mt Meru and its expansive volcanic and fertile land. Tarangire National Park was a tranquil game reserve, renowned for its birding, elephant migration and a wild ambience. It was a secluded park because most tourists prefer other parks over Tarangire. Hence, it remains an untouched beauty! Lake Manyara, on the other hand was a sheer sight of delight. We got to catch a glimpse of tree-climbing lions here in this game reserve. Serengeti is the largest park of Africa. It is popular for its dense wildlife concentration and definitely the million wildebeest migration. Here we got to catch-up with the antelopes and monkeys! Our Safari tour’s final day was spent in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We loved our hike towards the Ngorongoro Crater. We experienced the best at last for sure. The crater was set amidst a beautiful backdrop of grasslands and nature! It was simply breathtakingly beautiful! - Less

Our plan was to cover the most of Tanzania North. Tanzania North Circuit offers safari adventure to its Big 5 Parks. The Ngorongoro Crater is the largest, extinct volcano in the world. We got to enjoy the amazing wildlife and incredible vistas surrounding the region. While at Tarangire National Park, we got immersed in the breathtaking, panoramic environment. It is amongst the most tranquil and serene parks of Tanzania. Being an adventure sports and nature enthusiasts, my buddies and I jumped on the chance of going for a Safari fun to one of the most renowned parks of Africa - Serengeti National Park, in Tanzania North. When you are in Africa, you cannot miss out on expedition to the parks and reserves. I heard and read lots about the wildlife magnetism of Africa, but during our safari tour in Serengeti and Ngorongoro, I got to experience it all to the core! Our 5-day itinerary included 3 days’ visit to the Serengeti National Park, and last 2 days stay at the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We could choose our accommodation from amongst tent and lodges. So, we opted to spend our 5 days housed in tented camps and get the most out of our African Safari. Winston, picked us from Arusha and drove to the Serengeti National Park, where we were geared-up to spend the most awesome 3 days of our lives! 1st day was a game drive in and around Serengeti’s endless grassy plains. Since, they are richest grazing grounds, we were expecting to feast our eyes on herds of grazers and wildlife that we only saw on television and magazines. Winston told us, Serengeti was home to various species, from eland, elephants, buffaloes, hartebeest, topi, bat-eared fox, hares, genet, hyrax, giraffe, mongoose, jackal, aardwolf, monitor lizard, crocodile and porcupine. Amongst these creatures, Winston also boasted about primates, like, vervet, baboons, colobus monkeys and more than 500 bird species that made the Park their home. We were able to get a glimpse of the giraffe, buffaloes, colobus monkeys and few birds. You can say, we got lucky! The last 2 days were dedicated to Ngorongoro Conservative Area expedition. This area is part of UNESCO heritage center, famous for the Ngorongoro Crater. The park is also home to some of the most enthralling and majestic species of the world. Well, that’s why African Safaris are worth every other vacation or expedition trip! Our safari to Serengeti and Ngorongoro was a fun-filled one. We gathered a lot of memories and experiences, during our 5-day stay. We chose these two places for our African holiday because - Serengeti National Park is the largest one in the world and we had to get a glimpse of the Ngorongoro Crater, set at the Ngorongoro Conservation Area! It was in my bucket list! We camped at the Serengeti National Park for 2 days. We went on game drives, walking safaris, hiking and birdwatching. Here at this game reserve, you can catch-up with magnificent species, such as, the bat-eared fox, eland, genet, hares, porcupine, monitor lizard, as well as, giant giraffes! Ngorongoro Conservation Area, on the other hand is an expansive UNESCO heritage centre. It is home to primates, such as the colobus, baboons, and monkeys. The crater is where we got to go on a hiking tour, getting close visuals of the largest, yet extinct volcano in the world! - Less

I didn’t know what to expect, at first, before going on this trip. I knew that it is going to be filled with excitement and adrenaline, but I had no idea what was about to follow. The first day was just an introduction and I just couldn’t wait for it to pass. I wanted to see the real deal! The safari, the animals in their habitat, not just on TV! The second day started out very early and with a lot of excitement. The organizers told us that the morning was the best time of the day to see the animals and they were so right! Words are not enough to express their beauty and the way I felt just by admiring them! The days that followed we were engaged in all sorts of cultural activities with the locals, learning about their cultures and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The views we’ve seen from that point?! Breathtaking! By the way, have I also mentioned the sunrise balloon safari? That was the cherry on top of the cake, for sure! All in all, this was the most wonderful trip I have ever been in and every single dollar spent was worth it! - Less

For me, this trip was not only a way of relaxation but also a way through which I was able to learn new things. I like to learn something new from every experience I go through, even if we’re talking about a vacation, and in this case, the Safari tour was the perfect opportunity to expand my knowledge. In my opinion, the most interesting part of this trip was represented by the activities that involved ecotourism. Learning how to protect the environment is something I was able to bring home, implement in my daily routine and share it with everyone I know. Also, the most exciting experiences were the cultural trips to Serengeti and Ngorongoro. I experienced Tanzania like never before during my 5-day safari holiday last month. It felt like escaping into the untouched, remote wilderness of Africa. The entire 5-day was an intriguing, yet exciting excursion fun. Tanzania is a sheer balance of flora and fauna, offering an assortment of culture, heritage, wildlife and fascinating landscape. My Tanzanian tour was dedicated solely to Serengeti and Ngorongoro. Serengeti National Park is the largest game reserve of not only Tanzania but the whole of Africa. Along with it, I was spent amazing days driving and hiking down the Ngorongoro Crater, which is enriched with wildlife and beautiful topographical elements! Whether at Serengeti National Park or the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will definitely experience the best safari time in both the locations. I got a front-row seat to the Wildebeest Migration, as well as, the Ngorongoro Crater, which are renowned for being Natural Wonders of the world! Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a World Heritage region, officiated by UNESCO. It is located between Serengeti and Lake Manyara game reserves. The best thing about touring and hiking in Ngorongoro was that I witnessed a visual treat. The area is made of volcanoes, savannah, lakes, plateaus and the world famous Crater, measuring 610m in depth. It is world’s largest and extinct volcanic crater. Here you can catch a glimpse of thousands of species of birds and animals, from pelicans, flamingos, antelopes to even hippopotamuses. Serengeti on the other hand, is a prominent national park of Tanzania. It has the densest population of lions. The area of this game reserve expands till the border of Kenya. There are more than 25000 species of birds and animals present here, making the park their home. I was lucky enough to get a sight of few predators, such as the hyena, jackal and definitely the lion. Along with the animals, I had close encounters with fish eagles, secretary birds and even ostriches! I will be visiting Tanzania soon, as I have to visit the other parts of the country and explore the remaining game reserves, of Arusha, Lake Manyara and Tarangire National Parks. A few days visit to Tanzania is not enough. You have to come with a lot of time in hand and make the most of every second here! - Less

I was searching for that one magical shot, which would redefine my passion and profession. Serengeti National Park - One of the largest parks and game reserves of Tanzania, you can even say - in Africa. I did a lot of research before planning my trip to Tanzania and found out that this game reserve is the most filmed and photographed destination in Africa. Serengeti National Park has a dense wildlife population, which is further enhanced by the large rolling plains. For me, it was definitely an authentic wilderness photographic safari. The national park is an abundance of nature’s creations, from the dense wildlife, clear blue sky to the expansive green grasslands! In my 5-day tour, I was taken on a magnificent safari to Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Serengeti National Park. Irrespective of time constraints, I got to live an intense wildlife experience. During my stay at Ngorongoro Conservation Area, which was in an equally rustic and made-to-live-the-native-life lodge accommodation, I was taken on a drive to the Ngorongoro Crater. This crater region has the densest concentration of game. Lake Manyara National Park was my next stop, which a land of photographic and filming opportunities! I spent the entire day in the Crater and what an unbelievable day it was! Elephants, lions, rhinos, gazelles and numerous species of birds were present to make my safari a priceless one. The Ngorongoro village! What an experience that was! I have been a journalist for 20 years now and the newspaper I am writing for sent me on this trip so that I could write an article about the people living in the village mentioned above. Well, people would say that this was an interesting experience. However, I find the word “interesting” to be empty and meaningless. We explored each and every part of Tanzania North, by driving in a private vehicle. The safari was further enhanced because of Reuben, our tour guide. He is a man of details and fountain of knowledge (no, I’m not exaggerating!) He didn’t let us lose a single sight of Africa’s magical wildlife. Since, we were a large group, the manager organized special activities for us. One of the most amazing and enthralling part of the safari tour was viewing the Mt Kilimanjaro. This mountain towers Tanzania North plains. It is also world’s historical volcano and the highest peak. Wow, I’ve always loved felines, but never really thought that I would get the chance to see them so close, in their own environment. I almost had the feeling that I could touch them, but… well, it’s needless to say that such a thing was impossible. Still, I had the opportunity to observe the lions and their families and see how they behave. So, I can easily say that most of the time I was on the search for animals. I kept my eyes open and my attention was on everything that surrounded me. You know, just in case I would spot something really interesting. And so it was! All those lion families or how they would hunt at night, that was quite a view and an interesting experience to go through. I saw patterns in their behavior: how they would organize themselves and I also got to notice some rituals after the prey has been hunt down. A marvelous thing to see! You’d say that humans are the most intelligent creatures on Earth, but wait till you get to see these lions! I believe that there should be more tours like this one because this is how you should observe the animals. They should be in their own environment, not trapped in a cage at the local zoo. - Less

This seven-day lodge safari was one of the most amazing traveling experiences in my life. I got the chance to see the outstandingly beautiful, national parks this region has to offer. The wilderness and the wide range of animal species, some of which even endangered, made the trip even more exciting. We had numerous activities to suit every taste, including hiking, safari, bird watching – all of which were specific for the region’s unbelievable beauty and wilderness. We didn’t miss any important national park in Tanzania, and believe me, the spectacular view I got the opportunity to glance on was to die for. It was the trip of a lifetime, it was similar to watching an Animal Planet TV show, but increasingly more breathtaking, as I was actually there, on the spot, personally witnessing the wilderness and secludedness of the pristine area. We experienced walking and driving safari as well. Walking safari was amazing as it granted us the opportunity to experiment the exact feeling of walking through the high grass and see all kinds of animals such as primates, antelopes and a great variety of birds, and driving safari was ideal for visiting more dangerous areas where you might get across Lions, for instance. When it comes to meals and accommodation, everything is taken care of, so you needn’t worry about this kind of aspects. My husband and I just got back from a magnificent and magical safari vacation in Tanzania North. First, here is our highlight snippet to the most amazing experience of our lives. We explored one of the greatest natural wonders of the world - The Ngorongoro Crater and its dense concentration of wildlife. And finally, we conquered the roof of Africa by climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, to its accessible high summits! Our entire trip was divided into beautiful sightseeing map, starting with Tarangire National Park. It is amongst the most underrated game reserves of Africa. It is located close to Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the Serengeti National Park. So, we spent a single day visiting the wildlife of this particular park. The plains of Tarangire National Park was superbly grazed by zebras and cattle and hunted by the majestic lions. We got to enjoy live action of its wilderness, against the backdrop of picturesque mountains and plains. Like I said, our wild African expedition was filled with game drives, mountain climbing and cultural tour, we could not leave out the Oldupai Museum, located around Oldupai Gorge. It is one of the world’s most important archaeological sites. Whether you want to visit the elephant kingdom in Tarangire National Park, watch the tree-climbing and majestic lions in Lake Manyara or enjoy the sight of flamingos, doing their thing at Lake Natron, you will not be left unsatisfied in Tanzania North Safari! - Less

We did and what a soul-defining moment it was for us. Ok, so it’s been years since I had so much fun! I don’t even know where to start from! Should I start with the walk I had through the safari when I came face to face with an antelope and with a group of monkeys? Or should I start with the night I actually got to spend in the Safari, when I could observe how animals came out and started their hunting rituals? Should I start with the bird watching? I am fascinated by birds and being able to see so many species was unbelievable to my eyes. Can you see now why I’m having trouble with the description of this trip? There were so many moments! Each and every one of them was fascinating in its own way and I honestly couldn’t ask for more! I now see that going through this experience was a true blessing for me and I just can’t stop asking myself how my life would have looked like now if I wouldn’t have decided to embark on this trip. I recently returned from a five-day Tanzania North Circuit safari, and I already want to go back! The owner, Wilbert, was extremely cooperative. He assisted me through the booking process, as smoothly as, possible via Bookings Tanzania Safaris. I got a wonderful guide, Reuben, who was a super responsive person. Through him only, we could watch some of the rarest animals miles away! Coming back to the Tanzania North Circuit - five day safari. It was a beautiful combination of rich Tanzanian cultures, wildlife sighting, adventure sports, activities and astounding scenery. Tanzania North Circuit safari runs westwards from Arusha that towards the Lake Victoria’s eastern shores. This part of the region is untouched and unexplored. It covers many mesmerizing sites, such as the Serengeti, Lake Manyara and Tarangire Parks and the Ngorongoro Crater. The five day safari started from Arusha, Lake Manyara National Park, Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area and back to Arusha. I received an immense amount of help and cooperation from my tour guide, Reuben. He attended to all my request, whether walking down on unattended trails or getting a close-up shot of the Ngorongoro Crater. What really took my breath away and left me awestruck was the ecosystem of Serengeti. It integrated the NCA and Maasai Mara, covering 9653-square mile area. Reuben, shared a very significant information about Ngorongoro. It was a high mountain like Mt Kilimanjaro. It blew off and burst into pieces, 3 million years back. Because of this, Serengeti got covered in thick ash, sinking the floor of the crater into the mountain! I loved every bit of my safari, from the game drive in each park, getting a thrill after climbing the Ol Doinyo Lengai, to visiting the ancient mysterious art center at the Kondoa Rock Art Site. Why I loved my safari extravaganza? Simply because I got to see, feel, smell and taste the rustic, cultural, wild and colorful integrity of Tanzania! - Less

Thus, we did not have to worry about travelling from one park and game reserves to another. The destinations were easily accessible. Our itinerary was divided into many activities and schedules. They covered cultural tours to the Maasai village, museums and the game drives, which were part of our daily activities. First stop was at the Maasai village. It was a 2-hour drive, along the West Kilimanjaro slopes. On arriving at the village, we were received a warm welcome by the Maasai natives. They were one of the most genuine and beautiful people on earth! We had the pleasure of exploring the village and learning about their lifestyle and culture. We also visited the Ngorongoro Crater, Mount Kilimanjaro and Serengeti National Park. They were all a close drive from one and another. Since, we were visiting during the month of March, we got to view the wildebeest migration that usually takes place on an annual basis in Serengeti National Park. And man, what an awe striking sight it was, watching different variants of animals racing alongside your vehicle! - Less

When I first read about the details of this trip, my eyes fell on the “Safari Balloon” section. I thought “Hmm... This could be interesting!” And, indeed, it was! Seeing the whole safari from another angle, from up, was the best view I have ever seen in my life. Then I always wanted to fly with the balloon and ever since I was a child I have dreamed about this. But combining this childhood dream with the safari... that’s something! I took the camera with me and started to take all these pictures because I wanted to share them with my family and friends. It would have been selfish of me not to do it. Another thing I really liked was the fact that we had food on a regular basis and that there was plenty of water to drink throughout the whole expedition, so there wasn’t any chance of being dehydrated. Other than that, the accommodation and transportation fees have also been covered. It was a really great holiday, I would say! - Less

I loved every single moment I spent in the wilderness with the animals! There was plenty of food to eat every day and water to drink. Plus, I got to know people from all around the world, each of them sharing a common passion with me: the love for nature. They were all coming from different cultures and they were very varied in terms of age, so I could say that we made an exchange of experiences. I learned something from the elderly and the younger people learned something from me. We were just observers of nature during those days. We were contemplating it, switching perspectives and changing opinions in many different aspects. It was fascinating! There were also children who were brought by their parents, lovers of nature. However, let’s keep in mind that we were close to wild animals, to lions or tigers, so bringing children, as fascinating as it may sound, might not be the best idea, after all. At least, that’s my opinion: you never know what can happen. But luckily, everything went great and everyone had an amazing time. I have just ticked off another item on my bucket list. I am 12 years old and I just want to say that I am extremely grateful to my parents for bringing me into this trip. I love animals and I had the opportunity to see my favorite animal: the lion. I love Lion King and my mother and I watch it every year, before Christmas. But here, in Africa, I could see real lions and this was extraordinary for me. I can’t wait to tell my friends all about the things I have seen. All those animals?! Wow! My friend, Cara, is an animal lover as well and I was so sad when my parents said that she cannot come with us. Now, at least, I will get to show her all the photos and videos that we made. I know she will be happy to see them. However, the first person I am planning to share this photos with is my grandpa. He was a teacher and he taught Biology. I am sure he will love them! The Ngorongoro Crater region is also an expansive grassland, and home to saltpans, freshwater lake and forests. The Serengeti National Park is the largest and oldest of all game reserves in Tanzania. It is also a world heritage area, famous for the Big Migration that takes place annually, when millions of zebras, gazelles and hooves, migrate for fresh grazing along with wildebeest. You will love your stay at Tarangire National Park, because we definitely did. The park houses an acacia woodland and rolling savannah. It is also home to beautifully big Baobab trees. Here you can encounter the tree climbing pythons, elephants, hartebeests, wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, rhinos and other fantastic creatures! I was literally mesmerized by the Maasai people. I only heard about them on National Geographic, but I never thought that I would actually get to meet them and learn about their traditions. That was like... wow! Everyone knows that the Maasai people are warriors, but they take this preoccupation to a whole new level. Like, seriously! The young males are trained to be responsible for their community, protect it and supply it with the necessary resources. They don’t even have a childhood, as most of the today’s children do. I was shocked to hear and discover all these things. Then I thought about myself and I felt ashamed. They are children and they manage successfully to handle everything that is given to them, but I? I complain all the time about my job, my boss, the tasks I am given... And the things I do for a living are much easier than what they are doing... All in all, I consider that this experience turned out to be a life lesson for me, not just a few days to relax and observe the nature. It was quite fulfilling for my spirit. What an amazingly beautiful experience the 4-day holiday was for me and my dad! We were left gaping at the thousands and crowd of herds and pack of lions, leopards, wildebeests all crossing rivers and migrating for fresh grazing. We spent our daytime, going on game drives and walks around the boundaries of the park. The main attraction that Serengeti National Park offered us was the Great Migration. We got an exceptional glimpse of thousands of hyenas, leopards, lions, genet, aardvarks, bat-eared foxes, caracals, and mongooses. You can visit Serengeti any time of the year. But the best time is between January and March, since, it is the time of its annual migration. April and May’s months experiences heavy rain. However, you can still plan a visit during these months and get the most out of Serengeti Safari! If you have met my dad, then you will know what a subdued personality he has. But I saw a completely new side - or shall I say, a wild side - of my dad during our 4-day tour to Serengeti. If he can be satisfied, then anyone else can too. What took our breath away was the sheer sight of beautiful creatures - the gigantic giraffes, majestic elephants, antelopes and gazelles - oh! we never encountered so many beautiful animals in our lives! Through our tour guide, Winston, we got to interact with Maasai tribesmen. It was an awesome gift for me and my husband, Peter. Serengeti is famous for its awesome safari holidays. So, we had to choose the safari tour package to Serengeti. And thank God we did! What an amazingly beautiful experience the 4-day holiday was for me and my dad! From the daily game drives, safari walks, balloon safari, bird watching to exploring the culture and heritage of Tanzania through its warm, beautiful Maasai villages and people! What enthralled our heart and soul, were the Hadzabe and Maasai tribes of Tanzania. We were welcomed to their culture with open arms. We were left gaping at the thousands and crowd of herds and pack of lions, leopards, wildebeests all crossing rivers and migrating for fresh grazing. We spent our daytime, going on game drives and walks around the boundaries of the park. The main attraction that Serengeti National Park offered us was the Great Migration. We got an exceptional glimpse of thousands of hyenas, leopards, lions, genet, aardvarks, bat-eared foxes, caracals, and mongooses. You can visit Serengeti any time of the year. But the best time is between January and March, since, it is the time of its annual migration. April and May’s months experiences heavy rain. However, you can still plan a visit during these months and get the most out of Serengeti Safari! If you have met my dad, then you will know what a subdued personality he has. But I saw a completely new side - or shall I say, a wild side - of my dad during our 4-day tour to Serengeti. If he can be satisfied, then anyone else can too. I’m amongst many nature enthusiasts, who got lost in the wilderness and magic of Serengeti! Serengeti National Park is the oldest wildlife reserves of Tanzania. It is a site most popular for its Great Migration that takes place every year. During the annual migration, millions of wildebeests, such as antelopes, migrate to the Masai Mara Game Reserve of Kenya. The safari tour to Serengeti was a moving experience for my wife and me. The game drives were exhilarating. We also enjoyed our ride in a hot air balloon. The experience was a one-of-kind and one-in-a-lifetime. Imagine being elevated thousands of miles above the ground level?! Unbelievable is the only word that describes our romantic, wild safari tour to Serengeti! We got to touch the nerve of Africa through our walk to the villages of Serengeti - such as the Maasai Village. We experienced the beautiful, yet uniquely fascinating culture of the Maasai tribe. We were invited to their homes, which is traditionally a low, thatched home, called an enkaji. Their homes are traditionally built with twigs and branches, along with a combination of ash, cow dung and soil. We bought few of the beautiful beaded jewellery that the Maasai women were wearing. We had the best of all classic African safaris. Each day was well-spent in soothing and spectacular comfort and solitude, in the tented camps. I could say that the game drives were the most interesting part of this trip and I would definitely not be wrong about this. Moreover, many of the people that were there feel the same. After all, I think that this was the main reason many of us decided to take this trip. Those animals! Now that I look back and I realize that I had a family of lions standing at no more than 5 meters from me, I get goosebumps and I honestly cannot believe it! What an experience that was! I could actually say that it was one of the most intense moments of my life. Have you ever felt like your heart skips a beat and is not able to take in all that excitement? Well, I have and let me tell you that it is an unforgettable sensation. The best part is that I get to keep it with me, for the rest of my life! How many times have you felt that your heart is beating in your neck? I have, and I am still confused ... Was it excitement? Was it fear? Was it a silent contemplation of nature? I was literally mesmerized by the Maasai people. I only heard about them on National Geographic, but I never thought that I would actually get to meet them and learn about their traditions. That was like... wow! Everyone knows that the Maasai people are warriors, but they take this preoccupation to a whole new level. Like, seriously! The young males are trained to be responsible for their community, protect it and supply it with the necessary resources. They don’t even have a childhood, as most of the today’s children do. I was shocked to hear and discover all these things. Then I thought about myself and I felt ashamed. They are children and they manage successfully to handle everything that is given to them, but I? I complain all the time about my job, my boss, the tasks I am given... And the things I do for a living are much easier than what they are doing... All in all, I consider that this experience turned out to be a life lesson for me, not just a few days to relax and observe the nature. It was quite fulfilling for my spirit. But, happily, I managed to leave my uncertainty behind and go for it, and man, am I happy for doing that. Serengeti’s incredible wildlife diversity grants you insight into a different world, more pristine and mysterious. It was like entering a whole new realm, where I become one with the natural surroundings. I saw elephants, lions, and giraffes with my own eyes and I felt like living a dream. The Serengeti National Park encompasses appreciatively 500 species of birds, which makes the whole experience of bird watching more amazing. It was like walking through a living atlas. We also had a little trip to Maasai village, which granted us a peek into the amazing, unique cultural life and history of the region. That trip was so interesting; we got to see how people lived in the area, and how distinct, yet beautiful everything was.
